NICKI CARROLL

For Nicki Carroll, Real Estate is in her blood - literally. She is following in not only her father's footsteps, but also her grandparents! Nicki remembers tagging along with her grandmother (who just retired at the age of 84) as a little girl. Her father and grandfather founded their family construction company, where Nicki spent many summers on the job site as a young person. According to Nicki, "Real Estate has always been my dream career."

 

Nicki has her Bachelors in Business Communications and Marketing from Lindenwood University. She began her career as a sales consultant for a large national builder in St. Louis, MO. "Nicki comes armed with personal experience, knowledge and understanding for the entire real estate process - a perfect match for KM Realty Company," says founder, Katy Murphy.

 

"I hope that my experience and passion for Real Estate allows met to educate my clients on the entire process," says Nicki. "Whether I am supporting my client as a buyer or seller agent, it is my goal to always provide the most accurate information in a timely fashion to allow for a seamless transaction."

 

Communication is key to any business transaction, especially Real Estate. Nicki hopes to provide a seamless approach from start to finish. Today's market requires prompt communication. It is also helpful to have a creative mind, which lends itself to unique promotions when it comes to selling a home. Lastly, she lives by the Golden Rule. Having been a client many times herself, she understands the importance of having an agent that is always operating with the highest level of integrity. "I consider it my duty to always do what is best for my client, and represent them in the way I would expect to be represented," she claims.

 

Nicki is also an avid runner and was recently selected as the ambassador for the Birmingham Wine 10k and Benchmark Mortgage First Responders 5k. She will soon be attempting her second qualification for the Boston Marathon. Needless to say, she is willing to go the extra mile for her clients.

 

Originally from Central Virginia, Nicki moved from St. Louis MO to Chelsea, AL in late 2014 with her husband Ryan. Together, they have three children: Cole, Wyatt and Lilli. Youth sports programs keep them very busy. They also attend Church of the Highlands.

JONICA RAY

KM Realty is pleased to announce our newest agent joining our team - Jonica Ray! Jonica's background is the perfect recipe to make an amazing real estate agent. She has over 12 years of sales, marketing and advertising experience, and seven years working with document security solutions. Sales has always been her forte, especially real estate.

"My husband is a builder," says Jonica. "I have always enjoyed meeting his customers and helping them select the perfect finishes for their home. To say I'm obsessed with interior design is an understatement." This experience allows Jonica to help her future homeowners truly understand the importance of visualizing their new space. It also helps those selling their home with staging tips. "I want to help my clients see the big picture for what their new house could be - whether it's furniture placement or remodeling - I love it all!"

Jonica also has a passion for working with first time homebuyers. She understands that the purchase of a home will more than likely be the largest purchase most people make in their lifetime. "The satisfaction I get from walking my client through the process of home ownership is very rewarding for me," says Jonica. "I truly believe in the quote - 'agent for now, friend for life.' That's what I want to be for my clients." Jonica's goal in every transaction is for her clients to know that regardless of selling or purchasing a home, she has their back and is ready to go to bat for them.

Megan lives in Chelsea, Alabama with her husband Jason. Together, they have four wonderful children, Kaylor (10), Rylan (8), Paxton (5) and Bowen (2). KATY MURPHY

Real Estate Agent

While crunching numbers may have been her first love, Katy Murphy's passion for real estate is demonstrated through her talent for finding the perfect home and property for those wishing to relocate or build in Shelby County and surrounding areas within Alabama. Now, Katy has combined her accounting and financial expertise with her passion for real estate to establish KM Realty.

A graduate of Mississippi State, Katy earned her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting immediately followed by a Masters in Professional Accounting. Soon after, she obtained her CPA and has spent more than a decade working in public accounting. Married in 2005 to licensed builder, Kyle Murphy, Katy grew to love all aspects of real estate from new construction to flipping houses to investing in rental properties, Katy and Kyle have served their community well as business owners of Murphy Home Builders and members of the Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders (GBAHB).

In 2017, Katy obtained her real estate license and followed it with a broker's license in 2020. She has unique and broad experience, from working with newly constructed homes to helping future home buyers recognize the potential of revitalizing older infrastructures. It is evident that Katy loves what she does--because she puts her clients' needs and best interests at the heart of everything she does.

Katy founded her own real estate company in 2020, and is looking forward to helping many future home buyers find their perfect sanctuary or homeowners sell their current home. They attend Morningstar United Methodist Church and love calling Chelsea, Alabama home.
